Last team picked for 1st PRO HANDBALL USA Mega Event in USA, Summer of 2026 – OTP BANK-PICK SZEGED
It’s with great pleasure that we now can announce the last team joining the 1st PRO HANDBALL USA Mega Event in USA in the summer of 2026 – Many interesting clubs have been in the race for the last open position – among many great candidates we have chosen the top-team from Szeged, Hungary, OTP BANK-PICK SZEGED.
In the season 2024/25, OTP BANK-PICK SZEGED won the Cup in Hungary and pushed the finals of the national title into a 3th Final game. In Champions League, exit was in the Quarterfinals against FC Barcelona with a minimum lost game.
Next season OTP BANK-PICK SZEGED will once again be a top contender in Champions League – fighting for a spot in Champions League Final4 in Cologne.

OTP BANK-PICK SZEGED is completing the team for next season and will be a great gathering of strong international players combined with local Hungarian players of finest caliber: Roster, among others counts players like legendary Roland Mikler in the goal, Sebastian Frimmel from Austria on the wing, the Icelandic engine Janus Smarason, Magnus Rød from Norway and new arrival, Jim Gottfridsson from Sweden. Team coach is Michael Apelgren from Sweden.
